Steve Vai - Guiness Book of Records

Took part in Steve Vai's live guitar lesson today. He was trying to get into the World Book of Records by having a guitar lesson with the largest number of students attending. There were more than 7,000 students logged in to the seminar. It was well worth the time. Steve spent time on playing technique, composing, and the psychology of success in playing guitar. Steve says that playing guitar is 99% mental. Sponsored by Berklee Music. I hope that he does more of this.

Moon - Buck - Stump Show

I saw Lyden Moon, Kevin M Buck and Joe Stump play last week. All 3 bands put on a great show! Lyden debued his 5th album – his best yet. Kevin was great as usual. Joe Stump blew us all away. It was my 1st neo classical metal show. It was more like super fast hard rock shredding to me. I liked that it was all instrumental. No screaming.

Lydon Moon Review

Saw the Lydon Moon Band play last night. Dan, Joel and Lydon on drums, bass and guitar are an outstanding hard rock instrumental band. That about sums it up. If you get the chance to see them you will be glad you did. They have 5 excellant CDs out. And no I am not getting paid to write this review. I just appreciate good music when I hear it and like to share. I think you can learn more about them at lydenmoon.com.

ALL THINGS GUITAR

If you are like me then you love playing your guitar. Whether it's jamming alone, playing with your band, or just picking up your guitar for 5 minutes to get that tune out of your head, the guitar is your way to relax, express yourself and have some fun.

The more you play your guitar, the more you realize that there is so much more to learn about it. That is why I started this blog.

If you are a guitar player and have thoughts, opinions, questions or answers about playing guitar that you would like to share, please post your thoughts on this blog. Equipment, amps, pedals, accessories, playing technique, tone ... "all things guitar" are welcome here.

I would love to get input from people who play professionally. My goal is to have stimulating conversation about playing guitar that everyone can benefit from.

Suggestions for improving this blog are also welcome. Thanks for visiting our blog.

Peace.
